Hayirli kech, Tashkent calling!

Welcome to this special edition of “Our Melody for Osaka” here in the wonderful capital of Tashkent, Uzbekistan. We would like to thank everyone for joining us this evening to celebrate this occasion and helping us decide which of our artists should fly the flag for Uzbekistan in Osaka.

Please give a round of applause to your hosts for tonight: Ravshana Kurkova, Farrukh Dustov and Rita Volk!

The venue for this edition is the Palace of International Forums in Tashkent. At the palace, our five competing acts and guests will come together and explore the rich music culture that Uzbekistan has to offer.

      • It’s not a page, it’s a tag you can insert in the post so that you won’t see the whole article on the main page, but just the intro. If f.e. you look at the front page of my NF page, you will notice that only the beginning of each article is showed, and you have to click on it to read it in its full length: https://andersfinals.wordpress.com/ If you don’t insert the ‘more’ tag, then all your articles will appear in full length on the front page, and that can be quite unmanageable the more articles you have.

Basically, what you have to do: Press ‘edit’ on the article, and place the cursor after the first lines, f.e. after “Farrukh Dustov and Rita Volk!”. Then up in the tool board, you will see a button named “More”. You click on it, and the text “” (without the citation marks) will appear.

      • The easiest way is to edit it in WP Admin. There you can find the “more” button. But you can also write the following: first a . I can’t write it here in combination, because it just disappears.

      • OK, it’s a bit difficult to explain, so here, as an example, I am editing my own NF page: You can see where the “more” tag is inserted, and where you can find it in the tool board:

  2. This means that the winner of “Our Melody for Osaka” is Sevara Nazarkha with the ballad “Tam net menya” with a total of 158 points. This entry received 12 points from six countries, one less than Munisa Rizayeva. Congratulations Sevara, you’re off to Osaka and flying the flag for Uzbekistan!

  4. The full results from the international juries will be revealed tomorrow morning (hopefully without the Russian delegation crashing the party and database). 😛 In the meantime, please give a big round of applause for our winner tonight and the winner of “OMFO 2016”!

  5. Again My second comes first but my first came second so a very satisfactory result even though I preferred the latter. Another close battle. I look forward to seeing the full results. Great work Ovidarch, Good luck to Sevara Nazarkha and Uzbekistan, see you in Japan 🙂

  6. My favourite won. She is the artist whose album I bought right after listening to this NF. While I do understand the appeal of ‘Afsona’, I find the song a tad too loud and in your face. It only got 7 points from the Cuban jury.

Good luck Sevara, Ovidarch and Uzbekistan. 🙂
