Hayirli kech, Tashkent calling!
Please give a round of applause to your hosts for tonight: Ravshana Kurkova, Farrukh Dustov and Rita Volk!
The venue for this edition is the Palace of International Forums in Tashkent. At the palace, our five competing acts and guests will come together and explore the rich music culture that Uzbekistan has to offer.
Over the past few months, our panel of music experts (otherwise known as the “fearsome foursome” within the Uzbek music industry) and the national broadcaster of Uzbekistan ORTV have receive many entries from across the country. Having listened to all of the songs in the pre-selection round, they have now shortlisted five unique songs which have a chance of taking home the trophy in Japan.
These are the five acts fighting to win Our Melody for Osaka. Enjoy the show!
1. Sevara Nazarkhan – “Tam net menya”:
2. Elegiya – “Sarvar”:
3. Osiyo guruhi – “Yuragimdasan”:
4. Hadicha – “Mani de”:
5. Munisa Rizayeva – “Afsona”:
Voting system: Rank the songs in order from 6, 7, 8, 10 to 12 points (with the 12 points going to your favourite act). You can send your votes to the following email address: ovidarch@yahoo.com
The deadline for voting is Saturday 10th December 2016 at 22:00 CET
The winner of the NF will be announced shortly after the voting has closed, with a more detailed look at the results from the International jury’s after the show. Thanks again to everyone for taking your time and voting in our national final!

I wonder, are you aware of the ‘more’ tag when you write a post?
LikeLike
I am to a certain extent, I would like to know more tough. What can I do more one the “More” page? 🙂
LikeLike
It’s not a page, it’s a tag you can insert in the post so that you won’t see the whole article on the main page, but just the intro. If f.e. you look at the front page of my NF page, you will notice that only the beginning of each article is showed, and you have to click on it to read it in its full length: https://andersfinals.wordpress.com/ If you don’t insert the ‘more’ tag, then all your articles will appear in full length on the front page, and that can be quite unmanageable the more articles you have.
Basically, what you have to do: Press ‘edit’ on the article, and place the cursor after the first lines, f.e. after “Farrukh Dustov and Rita Volk!”. Then up in the tool board, you will see a button named “More”. You click on it, and the text “” (without the citation marks) will appear.

The easiest way is to edit it in WP Admin. There you can find the “more” button. But you can also write the following: first a . I can’t write it here in combination, because it just disappears.

OK, it’s a bit difficult to explain, so here, as an example, I am editing my own NF page: You can see where the “more” tag is inserted, and where you can find it in the tool board:

In the Puertorican final I was right. In the Canadian I was totally wrong (apart from the fact that my 12 points wouldn’t win).
Here I haven’t got a clue…

4th = 3rd(!)

My favourite won. She is the artist whose album I bought right after listening to this NF. While I do understand the appeal of ‘Afsona’, I find the song a tad too loud and in your face. It only got 7 points from the Cuban jury.
Good luck Sevara, Ovidarch and Uzbekistan. 🙂

I checked the videos of the non-winning songs after the voting, and the video for “Afsnoa” does indeed seem patriotic. Didn’t actually expect it. Still I think it’s the musically most interesting of the five songs.
